This past academic year, I was honored to be a part of Dr. Pam Mack's STS 4980 Creative Inquiry class - "Technology in World War I as seen in soldier's letters home. Part of this class requirement was to use the letters from my own collection. Students were to select an author, transcribe about 40 -60 letters, incorporate them in a reflective paper with additional readings. One student took two semesters. His project for the second semester was incorporated with Google's ArcGIS. Another student this semester took old photos of a training camp and then visited the site today, taking photos of the area as it stands today, comparing the two. Anther student categorized images from my personal collections in Omeka.net, with descriptions of the various artifacts. This page will highlight these projects.
